Understanding the tumour microenvironment. Advancing new cancer therapeutics.

OncoTherics focuses on understanding the biology of the tumour microenvironment and translating that knowledge into new cancer therapeutics. Our interests span pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma, prostate cancer and other solid tumours in which hypoxia contributes to treatment resistance.

Our unidirectional hypoxia-activated prodrugs (uHAPs) are designed to exploit these low-oxygen conditions, undergoing irreversible activation within hypoxic tumour cells.

Our current strategic priority is AQ4N in glioblastoma. Our pipeline also includes OCT1002, a separately patented, second-generation uHAP in advanced preclinical development, with potential applications across multiple hypoxic solid tumours.

OCT1002’s preclinical development in the UK and Poland has been supported by private investment and European regional grant funding, building the scientific and development capabilities that underpin our programmes.
